It’s stories like yours that convince me that there’s not such thing as a stupid dog. Dogs just observe and react to the differently than humans and we’d all be better off if we paid attention to what our dogs are really trying to tell us.

Morgan after reading your post ( http://tinyurl.com/kpg63r ) I knew you’d love this story. I’m glad you guys enjoyed it and thank you for your kind words. Trust me, we’re so very fortunate to have Emma and Rachael in our lives. They add so much to it.

Yeah, They were hugging! I just had to snap a picture. We probably have 500+ pictures of the girls and like 80 of us.

Rachael is a bit neurotic but she we love her. She is one of the most unique dogs in the world. Oh and she’s quite the actress. She’s actually got me in trouble with Crystal (my wife) on several occasions because by the horrific screams she makes when I even try to punish her; Crystal thought I was beating her. She’s a faker, even if I don’t even touch her she cries out loud like she’s being beaten to death.

Aw, Ryan…this is precious. I actually read all of this to my boyfriend as I was reading it and we both did a lot of, “Awwww”’s.

It’s so great that you guys adopted little Emma and took her out of those living conditions into her great lifestyle. I love the picture of Rachael and Emma together, it looks like they’re hugging!!

I think any pet owner would love this story. I was really hesitant to get a dog at first because I knew how much work, dedication and money we’d be spending on it. But now that we have our little guy, I realize that he’s worth all of it and so much more.

You and Crystal have such beautiful hearts, Rachael and Emma are lucky pups!
Such a great story, I’m going to send it on to some other pet owners!

Hm– I feel like I should print this list out and keep it with me until Brett and I decide to take the plunge and buy a house. It’s a shame that you had to experience all of this crap (sort of reminds me of the movie “The Money Pit”), but at least you’re sharing your experience to help others who have no clue about this stuff.

We sort of got a taste for this when we decided to rent a house– the exterior was adorable, the interior– a hot mess. I feel so bad for the person who buys this house someday and has to fix all of the stuff that’s wrong with it just to make it more efficient!

Great post, though.
